A large public sector organisation is looking for a Mechancial Maintenance Technician (Plumber) to join their maintenance team on a permanent basis. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to operate within a busymercial estate in Barnsley.
You will be reporting into an estates manager & foreman.
Working hours: 8-4, Monday to Friday. (Occasional on-call and overtime also required)
Own hand tools will be required but technical equipment provided.
The client will require a DBS check before a start.
£34,000 basic salary plus on call and call out bonuses which could increase earning up to £39,000
Your new role
You will use your Mechanical Engineering skills to carry out proactive planned maintenance of ventilation, heating, cooling, water, medical gas, steam raising, and drainage systems. You will also carry out reactive tasks within KPI and SLA targets ensuring that our customers are satisfied with the work that has been carried out.

Qualifications
Essential:
• To havepleted a full, recognised mechanical apprenticeship or hold a BTEC NVQ Level 3/ONC/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent City & Guilds qualification.
Desirable:
• Additional trade relevant certification Heating, Ventilation, Natural Gas, Control Systems, PPM.
• Accredited HTMpetent Person Course.
• Resuscitation/First Aid Training.
• Infection Control Awareness Training.
