Job Title: Reliability Engineer Location: Avonmouth Salary: £50,000 Working Hours: 7:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m. with half-hour flexibility (Monday - Friday) Holiday: Up to 25 days 8 bank holidays Overview: We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our team in Avonmouth. This is a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of site-critical assets through the management of the Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) program and other preventive maintenance strategies. If you have a strong engineering background and proven experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment, wed like to hear from you. Key Responsibilities: Manage the CBM program, including oil analysis, lubrication maintenance plans, and all related CBM activities like vibration analysis, thermography surveys, ultrasound surveys, and other condition monitoring inspections. Oversee Preventative Maintenance (PM) routines, creating new PMs aligned with equipment criticality (FMEA) and reviewing existing ones. Ensure lubrication PM routines and oil sampling are up to standard, working closely with the maintenance and production teams to advance the Technical Operator programme. Data analysis for critical components, producing statistical reports to detect potential issues and support asset management. Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Team to optimize decision-making for site-critical assets during maintenance activities. Act as a key participant in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings, leading Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and reliability hazard analysis. You will document all project elements and provide regular progress updates. Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Engineering or related field. Solid understanding of manufacturing and engineering principles. Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Proven experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) maintenance environment. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential failures. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams and work independently. Why Join Us?
