The DES also provides Local Authorities with the tools to process applications submitted by citizens. Job description As a Senior Operational Service Support Officer youll: support the day-to-day running of the Electoral Registration Office (ERO) Portal service, including operational, technical and website support take ownership of a range of Local Authority queries, seeing problems through to resolution, and demonstrate understanding and empathy to customers identify and implement changes to improve the efficiency and performance of the service deputise for the Service Delivery Manager when required support on ensuring enhanced service support arrangements are effectively implemented in advance of major electoral registration events, supporting on risk management and contingency planning produce reports and represent the team and its services at relevant governance meetings and ensure appropriate operational documentation is in place and regularly reviewed provide support to the ERO Portal Service Delivery Manager for resolution of any service incidents and issues, keeping stakeholders accurately and promptly informed about any service disruptions, updates and events be responsible for the line management of junior colleagues Person specification We will use the essential criteria below to evaluate you during the recruitment process. HEO salary The salary for this role is £37,170 - £43,155 (London) or £33,787 - £39,508 (National). For existing civil servants, the usual policy on level transfer and promotion will apply and is non-negotiable.
