Civil Engineers at all levels (water, renewables, highways or energy industries) required for a highly entrepreneurial engineering consultancy business. Opportunities in Staffordshire, Exeter, and Bristol areas with hybrid working.
We are looking for competent Civil Engineers to work within our Client's design teams in the delivery of exciting key projects for their clients across a number of frameworks. The role will require liaison with clients, contractors and third-party stakeholders on a daily basis ensuring the most effective solutions and recommendations are provided to the Client.
The roles include:
* Completion of feasibility and/or detailed civil and structural components of projects, including utility networks, buildings, civil infrastructure and water treatment structures.
* Providing design and construction documentation as required by the project, including conducting site surveys and inspections where applicable.
* Carrying out client liaison and coordination, including reporting of progress.
* Project management of tasks and deliverables required as part of the design packages.
* Conducting technical inspections of structures, formations and other civil/structural elements as required.
* Assisting project managers and site staff in evaluating 3rd party designs and construction methods.
* Development and promotion of environmental best practice.
* Attendance at stakeholder meetings & site visits.
* Attending design Workshops.
The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Engineer or working towards it, with an accredited degree in Civil Engineering and industry knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas – water, renewables, energy, highways. Consultancy experience would be advantageous.

The candidate should be a proven team player with exemplary project management skills, including organisational and diligent skills.
A full UK driving licence and UK permit for work or residency are required, as extensive travel throughout the UK will be required. Membership of ICE would be beneficial, and strong IT literacy including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and any other specialist computer packages is essential.
The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, a hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. A positive mindset with a can-do attitude and good communication, report writing and interpersonal skills are also required.
