Senior Mechanical Engineer - Full Time

To support our work, we are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This position will be based at our site in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
The Role
The role requires working within a growing and dynamic unit to complete a range of varied projects. As part of this group, the successful candidate will be involved in all stages of our projects from conception to delivery, including planning, researching, and developing concepts, engineering and/or preparing and carrying out testing and qualification.
Core Activities
The core activities for this role include:
* Supporting the successful delivery of a range of technically challenging and diverse projects as part of a team.
* Conducting research into new technologies, processes and products
* Supporting the development, execution, and analysis of novel practical experiments
* Designing, building, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting prototype equipment both in the workshop and in the field.
* Providing written and oral reporting of results in both a formal and informal setting, including writing high-quality technical reports for internal and customer use.
* Contributing to the safe running of the workshop and labs
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to deliver the identified core activities to a high standard
* Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent worked experience
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* CAD experience required generating 3D models and 2D production drawings.
* Comfortable working between an office and workshop environment, ideally with demonstrable hands-on practical skills
