The Role
Arm is innovating in the cloud, networking, and storage sectors. Do you want to contribute to helping Arm’s customers accelerate the development of groundbreaking infrastructure systems? In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to some of our largest and most innovative customers. As part of the Partner Enablement group, you will guide customers in using Arm’s IP to develop new and exciting products with Neoverse CSS.
Job Overview:
Applications Engineering is a highly technical role that combines expertise and interpersonal skills to support our partners through their technical challenges. This role primarily focuses on Arm IP and Subsystem products targeting the Server and Hyperscale Computing markets.
You will need to understand customer goals, analyze their requests and issues, and provide solutions. As you gain experience, you will develop and present training materials, review system designs, and provide technical advice. Collaboration with engineering teams is essential, acting as the voice of the customer to influence product improvements and technological adoption. You will also raise defects, review documentation, and write application notes, source code examples, and knowledge base articles.
Responsibilities:
* Provide quick and accurate technical answers to customer inquiries.
* Develop and deliver technical training on systems software, onsite and remotely.
* Collaborate with Arm IP design and product management teams to enhance partner experience and influence IP development.
* Verify and assist in polishing product releases before deployment.
* Create tools and techniques to help Application Engineers solve problems more efficiently.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven expertise with systems software (OS, drivers, firmware).
* Ability to debug low-level software and firmware issues.
* Ability to quickly understand documentation and technical content.
* Experience working with remote teams.
* Qualification in Computer Engineering or a related field.
* Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge of Arm Architecture and IP.
* Understanding of CPU architecture and SoC design principles.
* Experience with version control and software development workflows.
* Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or Python.
* Content creation skills.
* Experience collaborating with open source communities.
