We have a role with a leading provider of innovative technology solutions within the healthcare sector. This business is wanting to help the healthcare sector to protect their systems with their innovative technology and robust IT security.
The client is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to protect and optimise healthcare systems, ensuring they remain secure and resilient. You will lead initiatives to secure data, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and mitigate cyber threats in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The role is hybrid with a mix of in-office and work from home, but you should ideally have a base in Scotland. Unfortunately, at this time, they do not offer visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct risk assessments and identify vulnerabilities in healthcare IT systems to prevent security breaches.
* Ensure compliance with key healthcare regulations, such as the UK Data Protection Act, and support clients in achieving Cyber Essentials certification.
* Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and controls tailored to healthcare environments.
* Respond to and manage cybersecurity incidents, ensuring quick resolutions to minimise operational disruptions.
* Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a strong understanding of healthcare IT systems and industry compliance requirements.
* Knowledge of Cyber Essentials frameworks and experience guiding organisations through certification processes.
* Familiarity with regulations and standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001, particularly in a healthcare context.
* Expertise in using cybersecurity tools like SIEM, firewalls, and vulnerability management systems.
