The Role
As a Recruitment Consultant at THOMAS Freight, you will play a pivotal role in driving the full recruitment process for Freight Forwarding and Logistics roles across the US and Canada. Based out of our office in Bradley Stoke and working closely with our experienced Directors, you’ll manage client relationships, source exceptional talent, and deliver tailored recruitment solutions that meet the needs of our clients and candidates in these dynamic markets.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for recruitment, strong interpersonal skills, and a drive to succeed in a specialist, fast-paced industry. US travel and client visits will also be offered.
Key Responsibilities
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their hiring needs and delivering customized recruitment solutions.
* Candidate Sourcing: Utilise various channels (job boards, LinkedIn, internal databases) to identify and engage with top talent in Freight Forwarding and Logistics.
* Screening & Interviewing: Conduct thorough interviews to assess candidate suitability, ensuring a perfect match with client requirements.
* Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market movements, and key players in the Freight Forwarding and Logistics sectors to better advise clients and candidates.
* Business Development: Identify and engage with new business opportunities to grow THOMAS Freight's client base in the US and Canada.
* Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and candidate records in our CRM system.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Directors and the wider team to achieve business targets and placement goals.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience: Previous experience in recruitment, sales, or a logistics-related role is preferred.
* Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to build lasting relationships.
* Drive: A motivated self-starter who thrives in a target-driven environment.
* Personality: A team player who loves collaboration, takes initiative, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment – and loves dogs!
* Flexibility: Willing to work 11 AM–8 PM to align with US/Canadian time zones.
* Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with LinkedIn, CRM systems, or other recruitment tools is an advantage.
