Job summary We are looking to recruit a supportive care dietician to join the team based in the Oncology Department of Derriford Hospital.The post-holder will be expected to, manage own caseload in both inpatient and outpatient setting. Supervise the work of dietetic assistants, students and juniordieticiansas appropriate and contribute to resource management. You will be supported a friendly team and have the opportunity to develop your skills. Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification. Main duties of the job To provide a specialist dietetic service to patients within the Enhanced Supportive Care service at the Trust, to include inpatient, outpatient and contribute to the multidisciplinary team. To be a source of expertise in the dietetic management of palliative cancer patients including lung, upper GI/HPB patients within the Trust. To support and supervise junior staff within the department as required and contribute to the training of students and other healthcare professionals.
