Position: Mental Health Safeguarding and Safety Lead Location: Remote (Home-based) Salary: £56,000 - £62,000 per annum About the Role: Are you passionate about safeguarding and patient safety? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established mental health service provider known for its commitment to safeguarding and patient safety. As a Mental Health Safeguarding and Safety Lead, you will have the flexibility to work from home while leading crucial safeguarding practices and patient safety initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring the protection and well-being of children, young people, and adults receiving therapy services. Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee safeguarding policies and procedures. Provide expertise and advice on safeguarding matters. Manage and escalate safeguarding concerns promptly. Collaborate with external agencies for effective coordination. Identify and mitigate risks related to patient safety. Conduct case reviews and ensure appropriate interventions. Support staff through supervision and well-being programs. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs. Lead audits and produce reports on safeguarding activities. Build relationships with external agencies and partners. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Mental Health Nursing). Specialist safeguarding qualification or equivalent experience. Extensive experience in safeguarding leadership roles. Proven ability to manage complex risks. Experience with multi-agency safeguarding teams. Knowledge of clinical governance frameworks. IT literate, including use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Mental Health Core Profession. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to design and evaluate training programs. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in IT systems and reporting tools. Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence to influence at all levels.
