Job Title: Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Education team at Forest House School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, who have high functioning autism and may also exhibit challenging behaviour.
About the Role:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting students with their work
* Support students with their behaviour, establishing good relationships and responding to individual needs
* Work alongside the class teacher to develop and implement individual learning plans
* Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
* Good knowledge of autism and experience of working in an SEN setting
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with students in an engaging way
* Highly organised and adaptable, with an enthusiastic and positive approach
* Ability to learn new skills and develop your role to build on your strengths
