Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer

John Sisk & Son Ltd are delighted to be growing their Engineering Services team with the addition of an experienced Senior Design Engineer. You will be joining a dynamic, collaborative IN-HOUSE team and working on exciting projects across a variety of sectors including but not limited to civil engineering, basement construction, frame construction, data, life sciences, commercial, marine, and rail.
This role is based in our Head office in Wilton Terrace, moving to City West end of April 2024.
Hybrid model.
You will be:
* Responsible for the preparation and review of detailed technical designs for temporary works (including calculations, drawings, risk assessments, and design certificates).
* Proposing and/or developing value engineered alternative solutions (during tender or construction phases).
* Supporting the Construction Team with Temporary Works Solutions.
* Liaising with Temporary Works Coordinators, Project Teams, Subcontractors, Technical Office Team, and Suppliers.
* Developing, instigating, and maintaining processes, procedures, and standards for technical design.
Joining an international team who are collaboratively breaking new ground by transforming temporary works designs, you will be a strong decision maker with logical methodology.
You will have:
* Completed a third level structural, civil, or design engineering qualification.
* A minimum of 10 years' experience in design engineering.
* A minimum of 10 years' experience working in Geotech, Concrete, Steel, Construction, or Temporary Works Design Engineering.
