Document Controller - Uxbridge/ SW London

Skilled Careers are currently headhunting for a strong Document Controller to come and join a leading Main Contractor with a large presence in the UK. The company in question requires a Document Controller to come and work on a permanent basis. This is an office-based Document Controller Role with no travelling to site.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all document management activities on existing Projects.
2. Ensure compliance with company document control procedures and industry standards.
3. Support the project team in achieving project objectives.
4. Ensure high standards of Quality Assurance for all project documentation.
5. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of all project documentation.
6. Register received information within EDMS where required.
7. Maintain and ensure integrity and accuracy of Document Registers.
8. Effectively manage the flow of Project Information and maintain Document Distribution lists.
9. Monitor & manage workflows for Consultants / Design Team Documentation.
10. Generate reports within EDMS for projects as required.
11. Coordinate information for Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Project Handover.
12. Provide training & guidance for Project Teams at all levels for EDMS.
13. Collaborate with Quality team and assist in Defects and Inspections on Field.
14. Carry out regular project audits to ensure quality and project health.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Document Controller.
2. Construction industry background and experience of working on a construction site environment.
3. Experience in monitoring various document control processes and assurance.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience with Electronic Document management systems, MS Office Suite, Adobe, PowerPoint.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Highly organized and process-driven.
8. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001 and ISO 19650.
9. Able to work independently and in a team environment.
10. Self-motivating with high-quality standards.
