Role: The Material Movement Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of stock control and material movements at our Horncastle site. This role ensures the accuracy of stock quantities and locations, manages finished goods, WIP, materials, packaging, and production consumables. The role will also be responsible for ensuring all projects relating to the department are managed and completed on time and within budget. Working Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday This is a Interim 12 month fix term contract role. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of stock quantities and locations. Manage finished goods (both manufactured and purchased), WIP, materials, packaging, and production consumables. Support engineering spares management by assisting with processes. Own part of the RMA process, including acceptance of stock and management post-QC sign-off. Conduct cyclical counts and end-of-year stock takes. Review policies and procedures to ensure a controlled process. Evaluate and introduce Stock Control processes and procedures. Oversee stock movements to and from off-site locations. Manage 3rd party stock holdings and off-site holdings, ensuring compliance with EHS, security, housekeeping, and audit requirements. Manage material movements throughout site, supporting supply to manufacturing for consumables and material. Achieve and maintain a stock accuracy rate of 98% or higher. Reduce stock discrepancies by 10% annually. Complete all cyclical counts and end-of-year stock takes within the designated timeframes. Implement and update procedures where necessary. Ensure 100% compliance with the RMA process, with all returns processed within 5 business days post-QC sign-off. Ensure 100% completion of all mandatory training for the stock control team. Maintain a zero-tolerance policy for stock discrepancies impacting production. Person Specification: C Grade in Math and English Language GCSE or equivalent. CPC would be desirable but not essential Business administration Apprenticeship – Level3 would be an advantage. Previous experience of load planning is essential for this role Previous experience in Transport Knowledge of driver’s hours and geographical knowledge as week as willing to work shifts.
