Job Description:
Job summary
We are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in PEM, at middle grade level or above (see person specification), to help take the department forward. The fellowship provides an excellent opportunity to develop a 'specialist interest' while gaining additional experience in PEM in a hospital that looks after a financially and ethnically diverse population.
This job will entail protected 20% of your time for Simulation/Education development for Postgraduate Doctors, and the wider clinical team. We are looking for a candidate who can support, deliver and oversee the departmental simulation timetable. Sessions occur weekly and are overseen by Dr Vicki Currie who is the educational lead for the ED. This would be around 2 hours commitment on average per week.
Main duties of the job
The new trust simulation team offers personal development programmes for simulation and debrief training and is currently developing education packages within this to roll out across the trust. This training would be available to the successful candidate as part of this job.
The rest of the protected non-clinical time within this job plan would allow you further additional time to develop other specialist areas. This could be in one of the following areas and the department will support you to consider how you may bring about sustainable change.
