Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teacher looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teacher to join a caring and inclusive school in Southampton. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with a variety of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
About the Role:
1. Teach a small class of students with diverse learning needs, delivering a tailored curriculum to support their academic, social, and emotional development.
2. Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) to meet the needs of each student.
3. Provide positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
4. Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
5. Track and assess progress regularly, ensuring the learning outcomes are being met.
About You:
1. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) with experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
2. Ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual needs of students.
3. Strong understanding of various SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
4. A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
5. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with students, staff, and parents.
6. A commitment to inclusion and helping every student achieve their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
