The Role
The Commercial Manager will be involved in the development and implementation of commercial strategies and plans to meet the company’s objectives and will work closely with internal departments to identify and assess potential commercial opportunities and risks.
Principal Responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and suppliers to enhance future business growth
* Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise commercial processes, mitigate risks and enhance overall business performance
* Leading negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers to secure favourable terms, conditions and pricing
* Monitoring contract performance, ensuring compliance with terms and initiating appropriate actions to address any issues
* Collaborating with divisional teams to identify and engage with multiple stakeholders
* Effectively handling commercial disputes in a proactive and resolution-oriented manner
* Dealing with ad-hoc commercial enquiries
* Providing support to internal departments in drafting agreements that protect the company’s best interests
The Candidate
* Detailed knowledge and experience of a commercial environment
* Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and build relationships while doing so
* Composed, organised, professional, driven, resilient under pressure and a team player
* Experience using Contract Forms such as LOGIC/NEC 3 and 4/BIMCO
