Dunbar Education is currently recruiting a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and Autism in a mainstream primary school setting in Telford.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEMH, ADHD, and Autism.
* Collaborate with class teachers to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils.
* Implement personalized strategies and interventions to support each child's unique learning needs.
* Encourage positive behavior and emotional regulation using evidence-based approaches.
* Assist with classroom management and support the teacher with daily tasks and lesson planning.
* Monitor student progress and communicate with staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience working with children with SEMH, ADHD, and Autism, preferably in a school setting.
2. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
4. A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
5. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable but not essential.
6. DBS clearance or willingness to undergo checks.
