Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic nurses to take on a specialist role within our Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Team. You will join an established multi disciplinary team of specialist nurses, from a range of professional backgrounds, Consultant Psychiatrists, Assistant Practitioners and Clinical Support Workers, to deliver ADHD assessments and monitor medication, where indicated, to children and young people. This post is a temporary Band 6 part time position. We will ensure that you have access to internal opportunities for development with access to supervision and appraisal. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and organisational skills, who is able to work autonomously and effectively prioritise their workload. Main duties of the job This is an opportunity for an innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic registered nurse who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience working with children and young people with a diagnosis of ADHD, through the assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management. You will be working with the child/ young person, their family and other agencies to identify whether the ADHD diagnostic criteria has been met and to ensure that each individual is understood and support is tailored, which may include the prescribing and monitoring of ADHD medication.
