Location: Avalon Aero Limtied, Cranfield Airport, UK
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, to be taken between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Position Objective
To ensure aircraft continued airworthiness by certifying maintenance tasks that meet the highest quality standard and conform to all regulatory requirements, as defined in UK CAA Part 145 and the company MOE.
Key Responsibilities and duties:
* To ensure all aircraft maintenance tasks carried out, comply with the organisations scope of approval and capabilities, as defined in the company MOE, and personal company certification privileges.
* Work undertaken and assigned, meet all regulatory and company quality standards.
* To ensure all tasks and projects assigned are run efficiently, meet the expectation of the customer, and are completed on time and to budget.
* Ensure that all regulatory, company continuation training and UK CAA Part 66 licence remain valid and can be produced when called upon for review within 24 hours.
* All staff under your supervision are adequately briefed as to their responsibilities, have the required competence, qualifications, and resource to enable them to conduct tasks safely and to the highest quality, regulatory and company standards.
* Have a good understanding of company procedures.
* Actively participate in the company SMS (Safety Management System)
* Ensure the hangar and area of responsibility are maintained to the highest husbandry standards.
* Provide detailed, accurate and precise work updates, handovers and reports when required.
* Conduct any additional tasks that may be requested by the Base Maintenance Manager or his deputy.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Hold a valid UK CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence (B1, C)
* Hold relevant Type ratings and company certifying approvals on aircraft listed in the company MOE.
* Experience / type rating on BAe 146 / AVRO RJ and / or ATR-42 / ATR-72 type aircraft is advantageous.
* Completed a recognised Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent apprenticeship.
* High level computer proficiency with attention to detail and accuracy, particularly using word processing and database applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work well in a busy environment managing multiple demands.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as within a broader team.
