Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Records Warehouse Operative to join our team in Heywood. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and retrieval of records within our warehouse environment. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our records management processes while maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
The role involves working at height to retrieve and store records in high racking systems, so confidence and adherence to safety protocols are essential. Additionally, you will occasionally deliver records to client sites, requiring a full UK driving licence, and participate in an on-call rota covering 1 in 3 or 4 weekends per month. On-call duties are compensated with additional pay.
Your Role in Our Mission:
1. Accurately receive, process, and store incoming records and materials in accordance with company procedures.
2. Retrieve and prepare records at height in high racking systems, ensuring timely and efficient service.
3. Occasional delivery of records to client sites; a full UK driving licence is essential.
4. Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records of stock levels.
5. Participate in an on-call rota, covering 1 in 3-4 weekends to meet client requests and contractual obligations (additional rates paid).
6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
7. Assist in maintaining an organised and clean warehouse environment.
8. Operate a Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck – a VNA licence is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
9. Collaborate with team members to optimise operational efficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting clients with their records management needs.
Valued Skills and Experience:
1. Relevant experience in warehouse operations or records management is preferred.
2. UK driving licence is essential.
3. VNA licence is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
4. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
6. Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, warehouse management software & the ability to use handheld scanners.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
8. A commitment to safety and compliance standards.
If you are provided with additional licences at the company’s expense and leave within the first 3 months of employment, you may be required to repay the associated costs.
