NDT Engineer (3-Shift Pattern)
Salary: Basic up to £48,500 (including Shift Allowance), Benefits
Location: Newcastle-Upon-Tyne
A large Blue-Chip organisation is currently recruiting for an NDT Engineer to work at one of their client sites in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on a rotating 3-Shift Pattern (Earlies, Lates & Nights). Based at an Oil & Gas Manufacturing site, you will be responsible for carrying out tests and inspections in line with client requirements and company policies/procedures. You will be responsible for collecting, collating and reporting with sketches the results of the NDT examination, as well as presenting reports containing all the relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner.
Skills required for an NDT Engineer:
1. PCN Level 2 certification within an NDT environment.
2. Experience of Magnetic Particle Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Radiography, Visual Inspections, and/or Eddy Current.
3. Experience of working with pressure equipment.
4. Ability to use your own initiative while working on site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness at all times.
5. Good communication and report writing skills.
6. A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach.
