My client in South Molton is currently in need of an EHS Co-ordinator.
What you'll do:
In a self-directed work environment, the EHS Co-ordinator will serve the following role:
1. Provide support, leadership and/or facilitation to employees and teams at all levels in the successful implementation and execution of Environmental Health and Safety programs throughout the facility.
2. Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize Eaton EHS tools to drive improvements in safety, health, waste, water, energy, GHG & security.
3. Support risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects associated with waste, water, energy, GHG & security.
4. Support tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators in waste, water, energy, GHG & security.
5. Support and promote a zero incident EHS culture throughout the facility.
6. Support engagement through teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year associated with waste, water, energy, GHG & security.
7. Work with EHS leader and safety champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
8. Support efforts for third-party recognition for programs that establish the site & Eaton's EHS program as world-class.
9. Lead and support wider internal and external site EHS teams when required.
10. Support incident investigations.
11. Provide support on using established EHS data processes and systems to manage data.
12. Create training matrices and lead training sessions to ensure that all training is defined, completed, and tracked in accordance with an annual plan.
13. Support efforts to ensure and track that all key EHS operational controls are in place, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.
14. Provide innovative solutions that support operational constraints, while ensuring employee safety and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications Required:
1. NVQ L5 Health & Safety or NEBOSH CERT or EHS related degree.
2. Ideally, the candidate will hold (Tech/ Grad/ Chartered IOSH status) or ability to achieve.
Skills:
Experience Required:
1. Experience in a similar EHS role/position.
2. Previous experience gained from working in one or more: engineering, large scale manufacturing/construction/utilities sector/process safety equipment/heavy engineering/machinery driven environments.
3. Experience of working within Corporate Management Systems or large-scale company-wide systems for reporting EHS data/information.
4. Previous experience of conducting training to multiple target audiences.
5. Proven experience in both the inception and implementation of EHS improvement projects.
6. Experience of working with ISO14001 ISO18001.
