Role Title: Quality Control Technician (Part- Time)

About the Department & Team:
1. To ensure the business has full confidence in the data quality for all data across the integrated business in terms of its accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
2. To maintain the data quality management framework by applying internal key processes and controls.
3. To periodically review the core business processes and their outputs (e.g. MI reports) to ensure that their integrity is maintained.
4. Periodically liaise with internal ‘customers’ to gauge success against critical Data Quality requirements and take appropriate corrective action.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To review and reconcile slips and other relevant policy information documents of various task types in Liberty’s systems of record, within agreed time frames and service levels, and in accordance with our internal policy processing guidelines for Lloyds, Company or Overseas offices written risks.
2. Record and maintain a log of queries/ errors identified and deliver meaningful analysis and feedback to improve data quality.
3. Effectively prioritise workloads (Slips, Endorsements, etc.) and respond to changing priorities.
4. Monitor Operational processes relating to data quality through a variety of methods, including exception reporting, sample checking, slip Status reports etc.
5. Review various closing transactional entries (premium, claim, and treaty), claim advice and cash batch input done by the respective account technician in the overseas offices to ensure they are correct before authorising.
6. Work with the QC Team Leader to review and test adequacy of current practices/processes and implement new ones if necessary to ensure high level of data integrity and quality.
7. Engage in periodic data processing reviews and peer review checks in a timely manner to highlight any data integrity or training issues that may need to be dealt with.
8. Ensure that all weekly MI data issues and RCA review issues raised are efficiently reviewed, fixed, and resolved in a timely manner.
9. To work flexibly and in a committed manner to deliver the team’s R2 tasks and overall objectives, and support the company as necessary especially during its key renewal periods.
10. Undertake any ad hoc team tasks and responsibilities as requested by the QC Team Leader &/or Manager.
11. Participate in the testing of new systems and software upgrades & releases to ensure functionality and suitability where required.
Documentation:
Assist in liaising with relevant data owners and key LSM team heads to document and update any new departmental processes that affect how policy data is captured as appropriate to support data quality and integrity.
Training & Knowledge Transfer:
1. Support in the training of other new members of the QC team to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge transfer is enhanced.
2. Be committed to actively participate in all team’s in-office periodic glue days, training sessions and in-person events arranged periodically throughout the year.
Skills and Experience:
1. Have a sound Insurance knowledge & exposure to various classes of business, with the capability of understanding slip wordings effectively, gained in previous role experience preferably within the London/ Lloyd’s Market. Experience and knowledge in dealing with lineslips, complex binders is desirable.
2. High level of attention to detail is very crucial and a desire to identify and resolve root causes of poor data.
3. Experience with using data entry and transactional insurance systems, particularly IRIS and Genius is highly desirable.
4. Good verbal, numerical and written communication skills essential.
5. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients.
6. Experience of working well under pressure and to tight deadlines as well as ability to follow routines/procedures consistently whilst working on varied work types.
7. Ability to work systematically and in an organized manner both independently as well as part of a team.
8. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Excel required.
9. CII certified qualifications desirable or demonstrate willingness to gain professional qualifications.
