The Opportunity
We are looking for a SHEQ Coordinator to join our team of specialists in our Blackburn office, where they will play an integral role in unifying and coordinating the activities of the team while also being heavily involved in supporting the rollout of a new HSE system across the business.
This role would suit a highly-organised candidate with excellent administration skills who is looking for a new challenge where they can grow into a more specialist position that will offer them the opportunity to train, upskill and gain new qualifications along the way.
The Role
Reporting to the SHEQ Director you will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the collection and analysis (trending) of statistical information and production of monthly SHEQ reports with specific attention towards the environmental performance of the organisation
* Updating and assisting with the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS) in accordance with both relevant statutes, standards and business requirements
* Updating, maintaining, communicating and as required administering business wide SHEQ register of monthly data including corrective actions from inspections and audits
* Helping to develop, implement and oversee environmental programmes, and reporting on their progress to SHEQ Director and management tiers
* Working with others in the SHEQ team to achieve excellent safety, health, environmental and quality (SHEQ) standards across the business
* Generating initial draft of monthly SHEQ reports for distribution by SHEQ Director to the management board and operational teams
* Assisting in the preparation and delivery of internal SHEQ audit programmes
* Assisting in the organisation of external audit function with our accredited auditors
* Providing guidance/assistance and job training to VE co-workers; assisting with the development of SHEQ communications, products and training content as required
Skills/Experience:
* GCSE/O Level in Maths and English
* Previous experience in a business administration / coordination role or similar
* Previous experience supporting a trades, engineering or similar business
* Any qualifications or knowledge relating to HSE compliance would be desirable

* £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending upon experience)
