Our Deal Advisory team in Northern Ireland is expanding. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leading corporate finance and deal advisory team in the region.
It’s an incredibly exciting time for our firm. Our team have had a stellar 2024. We retained our position as the No.1 adviser in Northern Ireland per Experian’s deal volume league tables. We successfully advised on and completed some of the largest transactions in the region, and have led the way in the rapidly growing area of Employee Ownership Trust transactions. Additionally, we recently agreed a merger with Grant Thornton US in a deal backed by New Mountain Capital.
We are looking to recruit top talent to help us build on momentum and seize the significant opportunities ahead.
The role:
This role provides candidates with the opportunity to become a key part of a rapidly growing area of the business, and offers highly attractive career development and progression opportunities. The Deal Advisory team in Grant Thornton has extensive experience in all aspects of corporate finance from mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and transaction advisory services, valuations and raising capital & business planning.
Main responsibilities will include some or all the following:
1. Analysis of information and preparation of transaction documentation to support corporate sale and purchase assignments for clients;
2. Working as part of our team to deliver robust and insightful due diligence reports and detailed financial reviews for clients including leading corporates and private equity firms;
3. Undertaking research and analysis to support the preparation of robust valuation reports;
4. Supporting clients and our team with debt and equity raising assignments;
5. Financial modelling;
6. Liaising and working closely with our senior team, clients, funders, financial institutions, solicitors and other parties;
7. Supporting with preparation and delivery of presentations and marketing initiatives.
Skills and attributes:
1. ACA qualified or equivalent (we can consider part qualified candidates also);
2. Knowledge and previous experience in Corporate Finance or Audit Department preferable;
3. Excellent communication skills;
4. Team ethos and can-do attitude.
