Role: -Senior Business Development Manager (Technical sales)
Salary:-Competitive salary (DOE), company bonus (20-60% of salary), private healthcare, pension (up to 12%), car allowance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Russell Taylor Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior BDM to join a growing division of a Global Testing company, who will be specialising in the sales of environmental testing of mechanical products. The purpose of this role is to grow this division and give it the attention is needs to flourish, therefore the ideal individual must have had experience in managing some blue-chip key accounts but more so bringing in new business.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for bringing in new business and managing established key accounts.
• Bring strong relationships with key decision makers
• Drive profitable sales
• Re-engage with dormant accounts
• Grow existing clients
• Gather and analyse market industry intelligence.
• Identify early opportunities in the sales cycle
• Deliver business development presentations
• Negotiate and close business
• Be a leader to represent the company to customers, vendors and to the public.
• Conduct employee meetings and interact with not only the sales teams but also the technical lab staff and other areas of the business.
• Follow up on quotations
• Identify full customer test needs
• Actively utilize CRM to record activities - ensuring that its up to date at all times.
The Person
• A wealth of experience in business development and key account management in a technical sales role at senior level.
• Experience within Environmental testing/Mechanical/Aerospace industry
• Passionate about science and willingness to learn the technical element of the job if needed.
• A strong contributor to a winning culture.
• Excellent negotiator
• Confident managing multi-million-pound accounts.
• Happy to travel up to 75% of the time, overnight travel may be require- most travel is situated around the Midlands area, but other areas include North West, Cumbria, North Wales and South.
• Happy to attend company events
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm.
• Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements.
• Able to work independently
