Senior Electrical Engineer (Consultancy firm)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £58,000 - £60,000
Working Arrangement: 2 days per week office / 3 days home-based, with some onsite work
We are working with a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Nottingham. Due to increased client wins and growth, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their busy team. Responsibilities:
1. Work with the SLT regularly.
2. Ensure all projects are completed to a high technical standard, on time, and within budget.
3. Assist more junior staff with technical queries as appropriate to your knowledge and experience.
4. Carry out design work, getting involved in the design of schemes where appropriate, particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.
5. Undertake feasibility studies as required.
6. Meet with clients to establish project briefs and budget costs for client consideration.
7. Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client’s briefs.
8. Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
9. Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
10. Monitor site works against specification requirements.
11. Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
12. Check and prepare information for invoicing each month.
13. Manage the day-to-day workload of individuals reporting to you.
Essential Skills Needed:
1. Degree/Master's degree in Engineering.
2. Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers and/or The Energy Institute (or equivalents).
3. Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
4. Experience in managing successful M&E teams.
5. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
6. Experience with Trimble ProDesign for electrical design.
7. Familiarity with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations, and best practices, including sustainability requirements.
8. Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
