Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
Join RICS as an Internal Audit Manager, where you will take the lead in assessing our internal control environment e.g. governance, business continuity, risk management and more. In this stand-alone role, you'll have the autonomy and independence to apply your internal audit experience to complete end to end audits on a variety of risk based reviews with guidance, support, and direction from your line manager. This position offers a unique opportunity for professional development and to make a significant impact on the organisation.
1. Lead and support the delivery of the internal audit plan, ensuring timely execution of internal audits against the annual plan and follow-up of audit recommendations.
2. Engage with key stakeholders to deliver the internal audits including developing audit scope, field work, and report writing.
3. Own continuous monitoring of key inherent risks and maintain internal audit methodology to incorporate best practices.
4. Provide expert advice on internal controls to key departments including Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT.
5. Manage multiple audits/projects, ensuring high standards of compliance and governance across UK and overseas operations.
About You
1. Proven experience in internal auditing within corporate entities, ideally within international organisations.
2. Strong capability in managing multiple tasks and deadlines with high attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven track record in stakeholder management.
4. Professional audit qualification (IIA/CIA) and degree-level education in a relevant field.
5. A relevant professional qualification / membership of one of the major UK accounting bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA)
