West Gate School caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of special needs. We are currently seeking a dynamic, creative, and dedicated middle leader to lead our Explorers pathway for pupils in EYFS and key stage 1.
The role will involve the strategic leadership of the pathway, curriculum development, quality assurance, and working to support the skills and understanding of the teachers and TAs in the pathway, so they deliver a highly appropriate and effective offer for our pupils.
The successful candidate will have:
1. An excellent understanding of special needs gained from experience in either a mainstream or specialist setting.
2. A keen interest in developing teaching and learning.
3. Some experience of successfully managing a team.
4. Experience working collaboratively to achieve common whole school aims.
5. An excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and outcomes.
