This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team to support people living with long term conditions. The role will see you support people with varied conditions such as persistent pain, fatigue, long covid, and obesity (Weight management Level 3 service).
The Powys Living Well service is looking for a Physiotherapist who is either a senior band 6 (or equivalent) looking to be supported into a specialist role, or a Physiotherapist currently working at a band 7 or equivalent level.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide a quality service by practicing as a highly specialist autonomous practitioner across the Powys Living Well Service Pain and Fatigue and Weight Management Pathways.
2. Participate with the multi-disciplinary/agency team to provide a coordinated approach to management of people’s care.
3. Involve service users, relatives, and carers in a person's management plan, including overcoming barriers to communication, gaining consent for assessment and interventions, and providing advice and education.
4. Influence the care provided by other Health and Social Care professions through provision of specialist guidance and involvement in formal teaching.
5. Take a proactive role in the clinical leadership and supervision of staff within the specialist area, including supervising/mentoring MDT staff members.
6. Initiate and undertake audit and research projects into specific areas of clinical practice using a range of methodologies to enhance service delivery.
7. Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and guidelines within specialty within the framework of clinical governance, evidence-based medicine, and best practice.
8. Participate in MDT training, both providing training and receiving training to develop own skills and those of the MDT in providing person-centred prudent care.
