Job Title: Senior Social Worker – Child Protection
Location: Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
Rate: £39 per hour
Working Hours: Office Based, 4 days a week
The Bury Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their team. This role requires attendance in the office 4 days per week and involves working on court and pre-proceedings cases.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will handle court and pre-proceedings cases. You will provide comprehensive support to children and families, conduct assessments, and develop care plans in line with statutory requirements. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, and have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience including court and pre-proceedings work. You will undergo checks of your employment history, including addressing any gaps. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
