Key Responsibilities

Project Costing and Planning:

Prepare accurate cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed take-offs for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

Develop, manage, and update bills of quantities, ensuring all client and contractual requirements are met.

Budget and Financial Control:
*
Monitor and control project budgets, providing regular cost forecasts and financial updates.
*
Identify potential cost overruns early and propose effective mitigation strategies.
*
Contract Administration:
*
Draft and manage tender documentation, contracts, and related legal documents.
*
Oversee valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring strict compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards.

Stakeholder Engagement:
*
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers, promoting clear communication and positive working relationships.
*
Lead negotiations on pricing, scope changes, and contractual matters, representing the best interests of both the project and the organization.
*
Risk Management and Compliance:

Conduct risk assessments to identify potential issues that could impact cost, schedule, or quality.
*
Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, quality assurance, and statutory requirements.

Leadership and Team Development:

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and other project staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Share knowledge of best practices in cost management, take-off techniques, and industry innovations to continuously improve team capabilities.
About You
*
Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
*
Proven track record in producing detailed take-offs and managing bills of quantities on complex projects.
*
Strong understanding of cost management principles, project controls, and relevant construction contracts.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Proficiency in common Quantity Surveying software tools and Microsoft Office suite.
*
Membership (or working towards) of a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
