Accountant Watford - Hybrid Role Overview Our client is seeking a full-time Accountant to join their team at their Watford office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a professional and dynamic environment with opportunities to contribute across various financial functions. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for: Preparing accounts and VAT submitting personal and corporate tax returns returns for sole traders, companies, and partnerships. Compiling and submitting personal and corporate tax returns. Providing client management accounting services (knowledge of Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential). Accurately inputting and updating financial data. Processing journals and finalising accounts. Supervising accounts work completed by others, including outsourced providers. Qualifications & Experience: Part-qualified ACA or ACCA (continuing studies is not mandatory), or AAT Level 4 certification, or Equivalent experience in accounting. Educated to BTEC or A-Level standard. Skills & Attributes: Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment. Strong IT skills and familiarity with accounting software. A proactive approach to work, with flexibility and adaptability. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines.
