Repairs Supervisor and Operations Trainer required to oversee and improve efficiencies for mainly the Emergency Repairs call-out team but also to identify, develop and conduct training for operations teams across the business.
The purpose of the role is to ensure efficiencies by analysing out of hours rota, emergency repair jobs checking routes, trade assigned, van stock. To develop and deliver training across the business.
The successful person will have experience in social housing reactive repairs in an operations capacity; ideally a Repairs Supervisor or Contract Manager looking for a new challenge.
Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee Emergency Call-Out team to ensure effective resource planning for both trade operatives and Call Handlers including managing rotas.
* Liaise with Contract Managers responsible for operatives working in their area and hold accountable where necessary
* Drive efficiencies and productivity across Emergency Call-Out team
* Analyse operative home locations against job allocations to optimise travel time, reduce costs, and increase productivity
* Identify and report recurring issues such as incomplete works, missed appointments, or delays in job progression
* Monitor field team attendance, reporting late starts, early finishes, or no-shows to the Contract Manager for follow-up
* Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality training programmes for internal teams, with a particular focus on customer service training and management development. This role will ensure employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform effectively and support the company's overall business objectives
Essential Skills / Experience for this role:
* Proven experience in an operational role within reactive maintenance – ideally as Repairs Supervisor or Contract Lead/Manager
* In-depth knowledge and experience working with mobile field teams
* Experience managing or mentoring teams in an operational setting

The Details:
* Full-time office-based position (no remote working)
* Hours of work 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday
* On a rota basis there is a requirement to be available for out of hours escalations
