Pay Rates: Day £22.99 per hour, Night/Sat - £29.89, Sun/Bank Hols £36.79 per hour
Contract length: Ongoing – full time
Shift Patterns: Monday – Saturday 9:00am - 17:00pm

What you can add:
* Offer a comprehensive health visiting service in accordance with BHFT policy and guidelines and ‘The Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years’.
* Assess child and family needs, using appropriate assessment and risk assessment tools.
* Develop and implement outcome-focused care plans and evaluate care given, in partnership with clients.
* Provide support to families using the Solihull approach model in behaviour management and parenting skills.
* Support breastfeeding and parent-infant relationships applying the Unicef UK Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
* Develop and facilitate Health Visiting drop-in clinics and health promotion activities.
* Identify and respond to individual client and local health needs.
* Provide care according to the available evidence of best practice.
* Establish effective working relationships with members of the Primary Health Care Team and allied professionals.
* Ensure that services provided take account of client or family’s race, culture, religion, and language.
* Work in accordance with Berkshire Local Safeguarding Children’s Board and BHFT policies and procedures.
* Participate in regular Safeguarding and Clinical Supervision.
* Hold a recognised Non-medical Prescriber qualification and prescribe from the Nurse Prescriber’s Formulary.
* Develop and maintain health profiles of local community populations.
* Plan and negotiate with appropriate organisations to develop health action plans.
* Liaise effectively with other health professionals and partner agencies.
* Participate in the development of policies, protocols, standards, and community needs.
* Work according to the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct.
* Ensure that all record keeping is completed in accordance with NMC standards.
* Participate in workforce planning, recruitment, and retention of staff.
* Exercise leadership in the management of a Health Visiting Team.
* Participate in the day-to-day management and supervision of team members.
* Act as a mentor for new and existing staff and support students in placement.
* Develop systems for auditing to determine standards of practice.
* Submit statistical and contractual monitoring returns within agreed time scales.
* Address and minimise clinical and non-clinical risk in the work environment.
* Carry out other duties as defined by the Health Visiting Lead/Manager.
The role will involve, but not be limited to, performing the above.
What you'll need:
* Registered Public Health Nurse (Health Visiting) active on the NMC register
* Non-medical prescriber
* S.L.I.C.E/ENB 998 or equivalent
* Evidence of continual professional development
* Experience in management of cases with a child protection plan
* Teaching experience
* High standard of clinical work
* Basic IT skills
* Knowledge of current policies to improve health outcomes for children
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Cultural awareness
* Reflective and innovative practitioner
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to delegate appropriately
* Flexibility to respond to service needs
