Purchasing Manager (Nottingham/Derby Area) £70,000 - £75,000 + Package

Experience in the Far East & China is essential.
Our client is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to work within an established team in a busy environment. This is a fully office-based role.
You will be part of a team that is vital to the functioning of the company. You will be responsible for the management of the team and ensuring that the company builds and develops a cost-effective, competitive, and stable supply chain. If you believe this is you, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing new products
2. Negotiating and influencing suppliers to achieve the best market value
3. Accountable for the annual targets and goals across cost, quality, reliability, and delivery
4. Manage the Purchasing department
5. Identifying areas for improvement to current processes and procedures
6. Develop and own appropriate departmental KPIs to ensure performance and improvement is measured and acted on
7. Liaising with suppliers to obtain contributions to marketing campaigns as required from time to time
8. Occasional travel will be required
9. On occasions, overnight stays will be required
Hours: 8:30am - 6pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
