We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to support the financial integrity of a leading charitable organisation dedicated to empowering and driving real change in local communities. This is a part-time role working around 21 hours and there is flexibility on how this is worked.
As a Management Accountant, you will work closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and strong governance. Your work will play a pivotal role in guiding strategic decisions and ensuring the continued success of community-focused programs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts.
* Preparing journals and variance analysis.
* Profit and Loss review and monthly review of financials with Management Team.
* Preparing budgets and forecasts.
* Drafting statutory financial accounts and preparing audit packs, leading audit preparations and ensuring compliance with all relevant charity regulations and standards.
* Overseeing payroll, donations, VAT returns, and intercompany transactions.
* Supporting program costing to enable sustainable growth for community initiatives.
What we are looking for:
* At least 5 years of finance experience, including two in a similar role.
* Fully qualified Accountant or progressing towards an accounting qualification.
* Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint, along with a keen eye for detail.
* Experience in project costing and financial governance.
* A background in charitable accounting standards, which would be an advantage.
