The salary for this permanent Support Worker job is up to £36,597.60.
Main Duties:
* Assist young people with day-to-day tasks such as education, laundry, budgeting, and teaching independent life skills
* Accompany young people to community activities and appointments
* Monitor and support healthcare needs, including medication administration
* Adapt communication to meet the individual needs of each young person
* Collaborate with professionals, including doctors and therapists, to ensure consistent support
* Maintain accurate logs and reports
* Participate in key work sessions with young people
* Follow structured reporting and safeguarding procedures
* Foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
* Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and supervision
Requirements:
* A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent, or willingness to undertake this
* Minimum of 3-6 months’ experience in Children’s residential care
* Good observation and listening skills
* Organised and works well under pressure
* Work well within a team
