This exciting role will provide clinical pharmacy services to Community Hospitals mainly based in Bodmin Hospital and supporting Camborne Redruth with opportunities for some remote and flexible working.
You will be a core member of the Trust's urgent care team, providing professional pharmaceutical governance, medicines safety, medicines information, medicines finance, education and training and medicines optimisation support to the team and the service's patients. You will build relationships and work with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care to all patients.

Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including attending consultant ward rounds, working with specialist nurse teams, and being part of a supportive and experienced pharmacy team.
You will be supported to develop your skill set with both the Nonmedical prescribing and the advanced practitioner pathway.
Main duties of the job
This role will include the development of a clinical ward service, with full support from experienced medicines management technicians. The service will involve attendance at consultant ward rounds, encouraging uptake of the self-administration policy, education of members of the multi-disciplinary team, and counselling patients and carers on medication.
In addition, you will be responsible for development and review of suitable policies and guidelines to support the expanding role of the Urgent Treatment Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with a passion for service development whilst maintaining and expanding their clinical skill set. You will line manage the pharmacy staff working in your area and have the opportunity to develop managerial skills.

Person Specification
Qualification
* Educated to Masters Degree level with evidence of appropriate post registration skills training relating to the requirements of the role (i.e. MSC in Pharmacy or equivalent)
* Current professional registration (i.e. GPhC)
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
* Independent prescriber or working towards
Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Able to critically review, analyse and interpret complex clinical literature and medicines legislation
