We have an exciting new opportunity for a Purchasing Data Co-ordinator to join our Purchasing Department! We are not looking for any previous experience in Purchasing as full training will be provided. Strong MS Excel experience is essential, including knowledge of advanced functions such as VLOOKUP.
In this role you will be providing data analysis on purchasing from veterinary wholesalers and direct suppliers, purchase reports for various other CVS business units such as Vet Direct and MiPet, and pricing comparisons for Small Animal, Equine and Large Animal Divisions.
Please note: this is a hybrid position where you will work three days a week from our office based in Diss, and two days a week from home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide essential data analysis to assist the improved profitability of CVS purchasing.
2. Provide compliance reports around dedicated and preferred products.
3. Provide net pricing for product comparisons.
4. Provide internal and external customer service by phone and email as part of the “Products Team” based on a rota.
5. Assist in stock valuations for CVS acquisitions.
6. Seek and provide opportunities for future savings for the CVS purchasing department.
7. Spot opportunities for savings or margin improvements when reviewing and analysing data.
8. Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
Skills Required:
1. Eager to learn and take responsibility for personal learning and development.
2. Analytical with strong Excel and IT system skills, including experience with VLOOKUP.
3. Excellent command of written English.
4. Educated to degree level is preferred but not essential.
5. Open and willing to work as part of a team; adaptable and flexible to support the needs of the team.
6. An excellent team player within a matrix organisation to satisfy a variety of needs from different stakeholders.
7. Inquisitive mind with the confidence to challenge the status quo when appropriate.
