- Providing support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in classroom settings.
- Implementing individual education plans and strategies to help students achieve their learning goals.
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Monitoring and recording student progress, behaviours, and achievements.
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene needs as required.
Qualifications:
1. Understanding of autism and experience working with students with SEN.
2. CACHE Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Teaching Assistant or relevant field.
3. Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs.
4. Strong understanding of SEN principles and practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
7. Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of SEN.
This is a full-time position with regular school hours, working in classroom and school environments. The role may involve some physical activity and personal care assistance.
