As a Production Line Operative at our client’s facility in Avonmouth, you will play a crucial role in the production process of cooked meat products. Operating RTE (Ready-to-Eat) machines, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the production line while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Responsibilities
* Set up and operate RTE machines according to company guidelines and safety procedures.
* Monitor the production line to ensure smooth flow and identify any issues or malfunctions that may affect product quality or efficiency.
* Conduct routine quality checks on cooked meat products to ensure they meet the required standards.
* Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of raw and cooked meat.
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Collaborate with the production team to achieve daily production targets and resolve any production-related issues.
* Accurately record production data, including quantities produced, downtime, and any quality issues encountered.
* Assist in the packing and labelling of finished products for shipment or distribution.
* Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and provide suggestions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
* Participate in training programs and actively engage in ongoing learning to develop and expand your skills in the food processing industry.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in a production line operative role within the food processing industry is preferred but not essential.
* Ability to follow instructions and operate machinery in a fast-paced production environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
* Good understanding of hygiene and safety regulations related to food processing.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production demands.
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads as required.
Hours:
AM Shift on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 05.30am - 15.00pm, £13.17 per hour
AM Shift on Monday-Friday 06.00 - 15.00 £11.90 per hour.
