Are you motivated to work in a provision that really is more than a school where the vision is to improve the quality of life for all students? Are you enthused by the prospect of supporting an ethos where the holistic needs of every student are prioritised and where we strive to see the good in everyone?
We are looking to appoint a versatile and talented leader to the brand new post of Centre Coordinator at our new satellite provision, Breckenbrough Woodland Centre, TS15 0JR. The provision will have a focus on personal development and vocational learning, with a curriculum that is person-centred based on the needs of each student.
Breckenbrough is a unique, picturesque non-maintained special school for day and residential students aged 9 to 19, who are primarily diagnosed with Autism and experience other complex needs such as PDA, ADHD, dyslexia, and Dyspraxia. As a school with a Quaker ethos, we pride ourselves on our shared values of equality, respect, tolerance, honesty, forgiveness, and conflict resolution, as we strive to attain the best outcomes possible for all our students.
If you have a genuine love of learning and an appreciation of how a nurturing and caring environment can support all children to grow into happy, healthy, and successful individuals, you would make a great addition to our team.
The successful applicant will:
* Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team to support and develop strategic initiatives and drive forward continuous whole school improvement, specifically in regard to the Woodland Centre.
* Play a key role in the Associate Leadership Team, with specific responsibility for the leadership and development of the Woodland Centre, including the curriculum.
* Have experience of leadership in either special, mainstream settings and/or further education, including managing staff performance and professional development.
* Have proven high quality experience of supporting students with a range of complex needs. Knowledge of successful strategies for meeting the needs of young people with Autism is essential, as is an understanding of behaviour and strategies to support students with high levels of anxiety.
* Be a professional individual who is prepared to work flexibly in a vibrant, caring, and supportive environment, with students who really appreciate a staff team who are reliable and compassionate.
We would encourage potential applicants to arrange a visit to the school or make arrangements for an informal discussion about the post prior to making an application.
Breckenbrough School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
