Title: Senior Nuclear Safety Case Professional Title: Senior Nuclear Safety Case Professional Salary range: £70,000 to £100,000 per annum Location: Bristol/ South-West is preferable but would consider any office for the right candidate. Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home. Closing date is 31st January but we encourage early applications We are seeking a senior nuclear safety case professional, to play a leading role in our support to existing and new nuclear projects. We support clients in most parts of the UK nuclear industry, including existing and new fission reactors, also a wide range of non-reactor sites; and experimental or demonstrator facilities. As an experienced safety professional, you will be expected to lead and undertake project work for clients on, or in support of, significant nuclear safety cases, and supervise other staff in doing such work. You will also oversee and manage projects, develop and hold client relationships, and win new work; as well as supporting and coaching junior colleagues’ development. This is an opportunity for candidates with relevant experience, who are adaptable and able to perform the following kinds of roles: Safety assessment, risk assessment – hazard identification; fault schedules; design basis analysis; probabilistic analysis, safety functional requirements Qualification/ substantiation of systems against safety requirements. Internal and external hazards assessments. Safety case development and support for nuclear and non-nuclear plant Document writing – authoring or reviewing/verifying safety-related documents Requirements: You should have: A degree, Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM subject Strong experience and understanding of: The UK regulatory regime for safety cases and safety management. Nuclear safety case requirements; processes; terminology and documentation. Safety analysis and safety justification methods as they are used in the nuclear industry. It will be advantageous to have experience of: Working for multiple site licensee companies; Both reactor and non-reactor plant. Technical oversight; leadership; and independent review. Experience in and project management and commercial aspects Essential attributes include adaptability and willingness to continually learn new systems and new projects; and strength in organised, clear, written communication.
