Here at esure Group, we have an exciting new role for a Financial Control Analyst!
Join our multifaceted Finance team as a vital contributor to the documentation, review, testing, and reporting of controls within our Finance department. You will be instrumental in managing an effective and proportionate financial control framework, addressing actual or potential control issues efficiently, and ensuring that all financial activities align with professional standards and governance principles.
What will my role entail?
1. Perform the Finance Risk Champion role.
2. Support the finance control framework to, Facilitate consistent high standards of financial good practice and enable the early identification and effective management of potential issues/risks.
3. Test business controls and prepare remediation action plans for any failed controls.
4. Liaise with the business to document processes and prepare process flow charts.
5. Track and supervise the outcomes of internal and/or external audits and reviews.
6. Prepare Finance control MI reports regularly or on an ad hoc basis to meet business needs.
7. Engage with finance and business leaders to advocate for and communicate good financial control practices, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when vital.
8. Support the Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting teams when requested.
Qualifications
You are a good fit for the role if you have the following:
9. A recent qualification in a professional accounting qualification (, CIMA, ACCA).
10. An understanding of controls and their application in an insurance environment.
11. High standards in both written and verbal communication skills.
12. Intermediate digital literacy.
13. Good problem-solving abilities.
We’d also love you to possess:
14. SOX, internal, or external audit experience.
15. Knowledge of general insurance accounting.
16. Sophisticated digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
We’ll help you gain:
