Multi Skilled Instructor - Plumbing 37 hours per week, based in Preston £29,394.12 per annum Who are Preston Vocational Centre (PVC)? PVC was established in 2009, becoming part of the Community Gateway Association (CGA) Group as its charitable subsidiary in 2013. Since 2009, we've welcomed over 7000 learners through our doors, helping them re-engage with education and reach their potential. We deliver City and Guilds construction qualifications at Level 1. What would I be doing in this role? You'll be teaching plumbing to a wide range of learners including 14-16 year olds, post-16 and adults at our construction training centre. If you don't already have a teaching / assessing qualification, we will support you to gain this whilst you're employed, providing funding and support. What we are looking for: You'll have a L2 qualification in plumbing - knowledge of other trade areas is a bonus. You'll have experience of working with young people and be able to form positive working relationships. This experience might have been gained via training apprentices on-the-job or through voluntary work. You'll have experience of working in the construction industry with a good understanding of health and safety relating to construction roles. You'll have the ability to inspire learners and engage them in vocational education, encouraging them to reach their potential.
