Key Responsibilities: Market Analysis & Insights: Provide expert insights and analysis on the voluntary carbon credit market, including trends, pricing, and policy developments.
Project Development: Support the development and structuring of voluntary carbon offset projects, working with stakeholders to ensure best practices and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., VCS, Gold Standard).
Client Advisory: Advise clients on carbon credit purchases, project selection, and integration strategies to meet corporate sustainability goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key market players, including project developers, brokers, NGOs, and certification bodies.
Research & Reporting: Conduct in-depth market research, prepare reports, and deliver presentations on carbon credit trends, performance, and regulatory changes.
Regulatory Knowledge: Stay up to date with evolving regulations and standards in the voluntary carbon market and advise clients on compliance and strategic considerations.
Skills & Experience: Experience in the Voluntary Carbon Market: Proven track record in voluntary carbon credits, carbon offset projects, or environmental markets.
Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of market dynamics, carbon pricing, and global carbon offsetting standards (e.g., VCS, Gold Standard, etc.).
Advisory & Client-Facing Experience: Experience working directly with clients to design or implement carbon reduction strategies.
Sustainability Focused: Passionate about climate change mitigation, sustainability, and reducing carbon emissions.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable Attributes: Certifications: Relevant certifications in carbon markets or sustainability (e.g., CEM, ISO 14001, etc.) are a plus.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, deliver against tight deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with carbon offset verification systems and reporting tools.
