Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster Project Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver “better trained sailors to the front line faster”. As a role player you will support the delivery of training across Warfare Simulation by playing a unique and active key role in supporting the delivery training by initiating and acting out scenarios that will help train Royal Navy recruits. You do not have to have any previous experience for this role or within the Royal Navy. This is a term time only role working 445 weeks (2 weeks holiday at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August) Job title: Warfare Role Player Job Description: What you will be doing: Supplying support to line-management and other Instructors in support of training delivery and training operations Supporting the Instructors in their scenario based training, acting out scenarios to enable the instructors to deliver their training Working collaboratively with Learning & Development, other Training Delivery staff to find and support a personalised approach to learning and development Supporting on the piloting and implementation of modernised training courses within establishment. Contributing to the delivery and implementation of culture change, modelling attitudes and behaviours and promoting new ways of working in line with Fisher delivery. The contract worth GBP 1 billion was awarded in December 2020 to a consortium led by Capita to deliver and modernise training for the RN. The consortia of partners known as Team Fisher includes Raytheon UK, Fujitsu and University of Lincoln together with 14 other UK-based suppliers.
