About the role
We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate Equine care Learning practitioner to join our ambitious team at Kirkley Hall campus on a part-time, fixed-term basis (0.6FTE). The role will run from Jan 25 until Nov 25. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional education and training in the equine care industry and we are looking for someone with current industry experience who will share this passion and impart their knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation of equine care workers and leaders.
The role is based at the Kirkley Hall campus, Ponteland, which is part of the Education Partnership North East Group. EPNE is committed to cultivating a generation of forward-thinking individuals who are equipped to drive positive change in our communities. As an equine care learning practitioner, you will teach students from entry level to level 3 and have the benefit of utilizing outstanding campus-based equine resources. You will be at the forefront of equine care education, inspiring students to understand ethics and welfare and to think critically and innovatively about the future of the equine industry. Previous experience of working with SEND learners would be an advantage.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced, committed, and passionate individual with a strong equine background and up-to-date knowledge of their industry. They will teach programmes up to level three, and a minimum of a level 3 equine qualification is required. Previous experience of working with equines in a professional capacity is preferred. Previous teaching experience would be an advantage, but not essential as teacher education support can be offered. Previous experience of working with SEND learners would be an advantage, but not essential; however, a passion for education and mentoring and excellent communication skills are a must. Candidates must have GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above (or equivalents).
